ADVERTISEMENT South Park has continued its cartoon assault on the Trump administration with its latest episode, which addresses – amongst other things – the federal takeover of Washington D.C.’s police department.
The episode which aired last night, titled “Sickofancy”, depicts the recurring character Towelie – a walking, talking towel – visiting landmarks like the Supreme Court building, the Capitol and the White House.
All featured armed troops marching and plenty of tanks.
This takes aim at Trump’s announcement last week regarding placing D.C. police under direct federal control. He deployed 800 National Guard troops to D.C. to “rescue our nation’s capital from crime, bloodshed, bedlam, and squalor, and worse.”
Vice President JD Vance has claimed – without providing evidence – that over the past nine days, violent crime has decreased by 35 per cent in D.C.
Even the Lincoln Memorial got a Trump update in the episode which aired yesterday…
The new episode also takes aim at world leaders and tech CEOs, who are shown as sycophants lining up outside the Oval Office to bribe Donald Trump with expensive gifts.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Apple CEO Tim Cook make cameos in the episode, with Cook saying: “Mr. President, your ideas for the tech industry are so innovative and you definitely do not have a small penis – please accept this gift on behalf of Apple” – a reference to Cook gifting Trump a glass disc with a 24-karat gold base two weeks ago.
Later in the episode, things took a darker turn…
Episodes one and two have set up Trump as being in a relationship with long-running South Park character Satan. At several points, Trump is shown in bed with the devil.
However, “Sickofancy” shows that Satan is trapped in the White House as Trump’s prisoner. When Towelie tells Satan, “Please, I want to get out of here,” the dark lord bleakly replies: “So do I, but there is no escape from this place.”
The third episode of the 27th season of the satirical show continues its audacious streak of pulling no punches when it comes to Trump, his administration and his allies.
So far, Season 27 has depicted Trump as having a micro-penis, showing JD Vance as his minion, as well as giving audiences a deeply unflattering version of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, also known as “ICE Barbie”, who was seen going on a puppy-killing rampage in episode two, “Got a Nut”.
This was a reference to a story from the former South Dakota governor’s biography where she said she killed her family dog because it refused to behave. Noem was also depicted being trailed by a team of beauticians having to reattach her face.
“It’s so easy to make fun of women for how they look,” Noem told Glenn Beck in response to the episode.
Elsewhere, Vance took a more light-hearted approach to the mockery and his depiction on the show, writing on X: “Well, I’ve finally made it.”
The White House has dismissed South Park as a fourth-rate, no-longer-relevant show. White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers said: “The Left’s hypocrisy truly has no end – for years they have come after South Park for what they labeled as ‘offense’ content, but suddenly they are praising the show.”
Rogers added: “Just like the creators of South Park, the Left has no authentic or original content, which is why their popularity continues to hit record lows.”
Rogers may want to check the viewership figures and rethink that statement, as numbers don’t lie…
Season 27 of Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s animated series has been the most popular in years. The second episode averaged 6.2 million global multiplatform viewers in its first three days of release and also saw the highest live ratings on Comedy Central since 2018.
