Cristiano Ronaldo engaged to partner Georgina Rodríguez

Football star Cristiano Ronaldo has proposed to his long-term partner Georgina Rodríguez.

She announced the news on social media, posting a picture of a large ring with the words: “Yes I do. In this and in all my lives”.

Her post about the engagement, which has been viewed at least 4 million times, was liked by celebs such as Kim Kardashian and celebrity make-up artist Charlotte Tilbury.

Ronaldo, who is the most followed person on Instagram, has not yet commented on the engagement.

The pair have been in a relationship for nine years and have two children together, Allana Martina (7) and Bella Esmeralda (3). Ronaldo has five children in total.

They met in 2016 at a Gucci shop in Madrid where Rodríguez was working, and appeared together for the first time at a FIFA event a year later.

Rodríguez is a model and influencer and has taken part in numerous television programmes, including the Netflix documentary I Am Georgina.

Ronaldo, 40, and Rodríguez, 31, currently live in Riyadh, where he plays for Al- Nassr. In June 2025 he announced his contract would continue until 2027 amid speculation he was going to retire.
