Hong Kong has opened the doors to the first Cristiano Ronaldo museum in far east Asia.

The CR7 Life Museum welcomed the public on Monday in Tsim Sha Tsui, where visitors can learn a little more about the Portugal international footballer’s remarkable career, from his origins on the island of Madeira to his current chapter at Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia.

In April, the player announced the project on his social networks to his millions of followers.

“Relive the moments that marked my career – the goals, the clubs, the trophies, the people, the passion and the fans,” he wrote on Instagram.

The museum has state-of-the-art interactive exhibits illustrating the player’s history and displays of the five Ballon d’Or awards given to Cristiano Ronaldo.

Also on shown are signed jerseys and football boots worn by the Portuguese star during his time at top clubs including Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus. You can also see several life-size replicas of the football icon.

The space aims to offer an immersive experience into Ronaldo’s world, in order to inspire young people to reach their full potential through the player’s message of overcoming.
