Child dies after two-car crash on A13 near Delft; Another 2 die in Zeeland collision

A child has died after a two-vehicle crash on the A13 near Delft on Saturday evening. Emergency responders performed CPR on the child at the scene, but the injuries were fatal, police reports. Another fatal crash Sunday morning also killed two people in a village called Zeeland. One of the victims was a 15-year-old boy, Omroep Brabant reports.

Police received multiple reports at about 7 p.m. Saturday of a collision between two cars on the highway in the direction of The Hague. A child was inside one of the vehicles. The kid was then taken by ambulance to a hospital but died later on Sunday, police said. Authorities have not released any information about their age or gender.

The highway was temporarily closed after the crash to allow for an investigation, but it has since reopened. No arrests have been made. Police are asking for witnesses and any available camera footage.

Additionally, two people died early Sunday morning in a crash on the Boekelsedijk in the village called Zeeland in Noord-Brabant. According to police, the vehicle collided with a tree and subsequently caught fire.

One of the victims was a 15-year-old boy from Uden. The identity of the second victim has not yet been released. Authorities said drone searches were carried out to ensure there were no additional victims. The road, covered in debris, was also closed after the crash.
