Registered churches in the Netherlands more than double in a decade
The number of church organizations registered with the Chamber of Commerce has more than doubled over the past decade, reaching 111 on Saturday, up from 48 ten years ago, according to figures obtained by AD.
The registrations reflect main offices only. For example, the Protestant Church in the Netherlands (PKN), which includes hundreds of individual churches, counts as a single registered organization among the 111.
The list includes a wide range of denominations, with a notable increase in Christian Pentecostal and evangelical churches, some of which were founded in the past ten years.
