Supermarkets including Spar, Dirk and Plus warn of undercooked chicken thigh skewers
Various Dutch supermarkets, including Dirk and Plus, are warning customers about chicken thigh skewers that may be undercooked, the Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority warned on Friday. The products are sold mainly in 100-gram packages, but Plus also sold a 145-gram version.
The products, carrying use-by dates ranging from Aug. 14 to Sept. 1, 2026, were sold at Boni, DekaMarkt, Dirk, Nettorama, Plus, Poiesz, and Spar.
The Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority advises, “Do not eat the product.”
Customers who purchased the product can return it for a full refund of the purchase price, the supermarkets said.
